CantoBible is a non-commercial Scripture reading project operated by ANEW Creation Limited, based in Hong Kong.

2. What Information We Use

We do not require account signup, and we do not collect personal information during normal reading use.

We may use the following:

Analytics (website vs app)

- Website (cantobible.org): We use Koko Analytics and GoatCounter to understand general traffic patterns and improve the site.

- App (CantoBible): We use GoatCounter for privacy-friendly usage analytics (such as screen/page views and basic technical context).

We use analytics to improve product quality, not for ad profiling, and we do not sell personal information.

Optional feedback submissions

If you choose to submit feedback, the details you provide (for example: issue description, optional name/email, and optional device notes) are sent through EmailJS so we can review and respond.

Donations

If you choose to donate, payment and donor information are processed by Stripe under Stripe’s privacy policy:

Local app settings

The app stores preferences (such as translation, romanization, and display settings) in local storage on your own device/browser.

3. How We Use Information

We use limited information to:

- improve the website and app experience

- respond to feedback and bug reports

- process donations through Stripe

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

4. Data Storage & Security

- Donation/payment data is handled by Stripe on Stripe infrastructure.

- Feedback submissions are transmitted through EmailJS and delivered to project-controlled email endpoints.

- Normal app reading use does not require user account profiles.

5. Your Rights

If you want us to delete or update personal information you submitted through feedback, contact us at create@anew.hk.

For donation/payment data, Stripe is the primary processor; you may also contact Stripe directly through their privacy channels.

6. Children’s Privacy

CantoBible is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
